Week 12- Artist Conversation- Timothy Cooper

While there weren’t many exhibits open this week, this particular piece was fun to look at. Minimalist in style and very symmetrical, it was clear that it was a very simple piece. However, the inspiration behind it made it even more interesting.

Cooper states in his thesis that all of these plates were made by hand. The message behind this piece of art is driven by those who made them and who came together as a community and created a great experience. Cooper believes that the most important aspect of art is the people who create it as friends and are able to receive a personal and social experience from it.
